In the past ten years, El Anatsui has focused on large tapestry-like sculptures made of thousands of colourful metal caps. Although individually humble, the materials he uses become collectively monumental, just like our individual actions as consumers and communicators allow us to participate in a global community.

For this year's participation at TEFAF, Axel Vervoordt presents archaeogical highlights among which features this exceptional sandstone head of Senenmut from the New Kingdom, XVIIIth Dynasty, ca. 1479 - 1458 B.C.

This selection of important antiquities are presented in dialogue with works by artists like El Anatsui and Yun Hyong Keun.
